Mission

Brought to California from Mexico by the missionaries, the Mission olive is widely cultivated as a dual-purpose variety, used for table olives and olive oil production.
Valued for its resistance to cold, Mission is a self-fertilizing variety often sold as a landscape specimen. It has an erect, rising / spreading habit and reaches 25’-35’ high at maturity.

Manzanillo

Of Spanish origin, Manzanillo is the most widespread olive variety in the world. Its oil is prized for its high quality and stability. Manzanillo is also the most highly rated table olive variety in the world due to the quality of its fruit and its productivity.
Manzanillo is the variety most often sold as a landscape specimen and is self-fertilizing. It has a semi-drooping, spreading habit and typically matures at 18’ to 24’ in height.
